Mental Health Accreditation Scheme

Members of this scheme can advise and represent at tribunals patients who have been kept in hospital under the Mental Health Act 1983.

They may also be able to give legal advice on other areas of the law affecting mental illness and incapacity – in wills and probate, Court of Protection cases, and powers of attorney.

Solicitors and people who work for solicitors can apply to join this scheme.
