Accreditation Schemes
Members of these schemes can give you legal advice about:
- divorce
- separation
- dividing family assets, such as money, property and possessions, fairly
- your rights if you are living with someone but you are not married or in a civil partnership with them
- child maintenance
- family disputes
If the case is very complicated you might want to find a member of the Family Law Advanced scheme. Solicitors and legal executives (legally qualified people who work with solicitors) can apply to join this scheme. You might also want to look at the Children Law page. Members of those schemes can help with some of the issues listed above.
