Mediators are trained and qualified to help people agree a solution between them without going to court. This can save time and money. Members of this scheme can help with disputes in areas like divorce and separation. The most common problems are about children and money.

If you want to get a divorce, usually you are expected to try mediation to solve your problems before going to court.

Solicitors and legal executives (legally qualified people who work with solicitors) can apply to join this scheme.
